The Cherbonnier Group, Inc., employs the DIRECT APPROACH in identifying those candidates possessing the necessary qualifications to
satisfy the exacting requirements of each position. Our search assignments are usually sensitive in nature and of major importance to
our clients; therefore, these assignments are conducted in a highly confidential manner.
The systematic identification and successful recruitment of top candidates requires a specific plan dependent upon many factors:
reporting relationships, functional responsibility, level of compensation, industry experience, location, etc. Our broad-based plan
of action is as follows:
Jointly develop with the client, a position specification and candidate profile.
- Utilizing our direct approach and our extensive research facilities, we will identify companies, organizations, and key candidates on a regional, national, or international basis.
- Contact and consult key individuals who are industry knowledgeable.
- Conduct in-depth telephone interviews with potential candidates.
- Conduct personal interviews and in-depth evaluations of selected candidates.
- Discuss with the client those candidates qualified for further development.
- Present those candidates who, in the opinion of The Cherbonnier Group, Inc., and knowledgeable references, are the best candidates obtainable. This presentation will provide, if obtained:
- A detailed resume of each candidate's professional background.
- An evaluation of each candidate's management capabilities.
- An evaluation of each candidate's ability to function in the position.
- Preliminary reports on prior competence based on contacts with former superiors, subordinates, and associates, if possible, prior to personal presentation.
- Confidentially review the above information with the client.
- Arrange interviews to include date, time, and location, and provide other

- If desired, provide assistance in negotiations prior to an employment offer.
- Periodically follow-up and review with the client after engagement completion.
PROJECT ORGANIZATION
We work closely with clients to ensure they are advised of assignment progress. L. Michael Cherbonnier will direct this search assignment and personally interview final candidates prior to introducing them to the client.
TIMING
Our assignments are conducted on an exclusive and
confidential basis.
Our firm and The client must work closely together during this assignment, particularly regarding the coordination and processing of prospective candidates. Specifically:
- We remain in communication constantly during the evaluation and selection process.
- If circumstances permit, final candidates are presented concurrently.
- Our executive search approach usually generates successful candidates within thirty to forty-five days.
